founded in 2013

Our Company Director, Ellen has spent all of her professional career working in corporate hospitality and has unrivalled knowledge and key connections across the whole of the UK.

Originally specialising in the association sector, AGM now work with all sectors helping venue find and manage all aspects of events. We work alongside our clients to help deliver world class solutions.

We pride ourselves on being a small enterprise with far reaching connections that enable us to really deliver a personal yet professional experience with a real understanding of what each of our clients requires.

AGM Event Solutions Limited is a Professional Venue Finding & Event Management Agency which was founded in 2013 and incorporated as a company limited by guarantee.

AGM Event Solutions is dedicated to helping individuals and organisations specifically in the Association segments and bring a strong sense of professionalism to our working practice by harnessing and sharing our collective skills, knowledge and experience in the meetings industry and in national multi property hotel sales.

FREE VENUE FINDING

As a TIDS registered event agent, we are professionally recognised as a key booking agent across the UK and Europe.

With our database of over 350,000 venues in over 300 different cities, we can find you the perfect venue for your event and ensure its at the best cost too!

This is a completely free service and is designed to save you both time & money whilst ensuring our team of specialist event bookers find you the best solutions at the best price.

PRE EVENT MANAGEMENT

Events don’t just happen. They normally take a lot of organising, a lot of time, a lot meticulous planning and normally a lot of someone’s patience! At AGM Event Solutions, we can help with it all and remove a lot of the stress that comes with it. This includes the management and organisation of:

  • Site visits of the venue(s)
  • Contract negotiations and payment terms with the venue(s)
  • Room details including set ups & AV requirements
  • Food tastings & offerings
  • Accommodation management for your delegates
  • Pre event registration for your delegates
  • Accessibility requirements
  • Assisting with your Corporate Social Responsibility requirements
EVENT MANAGEMENT
From start to finish, we can be on-site with you to assist with all aspects of event management. Our dedicated Event Management Team will liaise with the venues operations team to ensure the smooth running of your event. The team can also assist with delegate registration, presentation preparations, AV troubleshooting & Hotel check-ins, to name just a few. Our team will be there to fully support you throughout, if required.
POST EVENT MANAGEMENT
If you’ve ever ran an event, you know the job doesn’t stop when the lights go down. We can assist with everything that comes after. This includes, the organisation and removal of all event materials, travel logistics for delegates and obtaining and collating feedback. We can also help with any queries that may exist with the venue including post event financials.
AV/TECHNICAL HIRE
We have a bespoke list of AV providers that we can recommend to help with all of your technical requirements. This are trusted suppliers that we have used many times over the last 10 years and have excellent relationships with. They can also assist with any Virtual/Hybrid requirements you may have. EVENT WEBSITE CREATION
As an additional service, AGM Events can create, build and manage your specific event website. This can be used for pre event registrations, accommodation bookings, delegate payments, event information and floor plan designs for exhibitions. Ellen Tolkien

Ellen Tolkien – Managing Director. Married to James, and wonderful mother to Madeleine and Autumn. Having worked in hotels from the age of 16. Ellen now lives in the idyllic Cotswolds and prides herself on the customer service her company offers to its many clients. Ellen is a ball of energy and fun and doesn’t take herself too seriously. Always up for a laugh, Ellen makes sure her team are always well looked after and enjoy the benefits of a great work/life balance. Her objectives in life are simple, working hard leads to success and a simple smile can make another persons day. She is a driven individual with a great sense of humour and thrives whilst working under pressure within her team. Ellen is driven by every key win, whether that be a new relationship, a new account or a new piece of business. ‘I've built the foundations of AGM Event Solutions up with the support of key client relationships, friends and family. I am a firm believer in building strong client relationships where trust, honesty and integrity is fundamental. With an outstanding reputation gained from vast industry experience along with the shared collective knowledge and powerful tool that is industry relationships, we are able to offer a proficient and innovative service to clients when booking their meetings’

Katie Roberts – Our Events Manager. Katie heads up our events team with nothing but passion and drive. Having worked in events since leaving university, Katie has worked in some amazing hotels and venues holding various roles including Account Management, Event Sales Manager and Sales and Development Manager positions. Katie's career paused during the pandemic while she started a family and is now a mum to her two beautiful children Joshua & Rosie. Katie joined AGM Events in 2021 and her knowledge & experience of the industry is truly an amazing benefit to the clients of AGM. Katie looks after our top accounts and a wonderful team here at AGM who book and manage over £4m in events a year... pretty impressive hey!

James Tolkien

James Tolkien

James Tolkien – Director. Married to Ellen, James is at heart a very passionate and caring Veterinary Surgeon working part time for AGM Event & Travel Solutions. James is an incredible father to both Madeleine and Autumn and is a real family man. James shares Ellen’s passion for events and is well known for his excellent and memorable customer service amoungt our clients as well as his witty personality, and light hearted flare. James is a breath of fresh air within the agency and is always sure to lighten the mood on a daily basis.

Beverley

Beverley Skinner

Beverley – Reservations and Office Manager. Having worked for AGM since it was founded in 2013, Beverly is the ‘office mum’ as we like to call her, who keeps everyone ticking over. Beverly’s attention to detail and precision in the little things makes her stand out where it matters. Beverley's team looks after all of our travel, group and accommodation bookings across the agency but often gets involved in the venue-finding and event management side of the business, and you will often see her onsite at many of our events. Beverley is a mum to 4 beautiful children, her 3 cats and her little dog, living in the idyllic Cotswolds, she now enjoys her spare time traveling the country in her motor home and enjoying her grandchildren whenever she gets the time.
